XMB recognizes original disc but multiman/managun/webman doesn't

Hi guys,

For the first time, I installed a CFW (4.85 SPY Cobra 8.01) on my PS3 Slim.

After doing so, I installed the pkg's (multiman, etc) because I want to copy my original PS3 disc's to the hdd so I can play without having to insert the discs.
When I put a disc in my ps3, it works fine and loads up in the XMB. But whenever I run either multiman,managun,webman and whatever other homebrew I tried, it...

Slim 3004b turning off..

Hi all i have here slim 3004b witch is turning itself off during gameplay.it happened in every game i have tried. It happens cca 30-40 minutes in game.After turning off there is no light. I can already rule out Bad temp as i have already cleaned and changed thermal paste. My suspect is bad power supply or possibly Bad motherboard.
Please help.

I wonder if it would be safe to login to PSN and Ubisoft when playing assassin's Creed games to be able to get the game specific rewards from Uplay, on a CFW PS3.

Currently I'm playing Black flag and I'd like to get the costumes and swords obtainable by redeeming Uplay coins. But I don't want be ban my console.

Mounting NTSF drive in Multiman

Hey everyone...back with another question, thanks for all the help on the last one.
I have a 1TB NTSF drive on USB, but I can't seem to get Multiman to mount it, so I can transfer my game backups to it.
I've tried both USB 2 and 3. Neither seem to work. I can do a "scan NTFS drives for games" and that works. I can hear Multiman accessing the drive, but I can't seem to get it to mount as a destination for copying. Am I missing something?

Missing Box Art (PS2, PS1)

Hey All,

I have installed on my BC PS3 Webman Mod, Managunz and Multiman. Doesn't matter which one I use, there is missing box art and it's only for PS2 and PS1 games.
PS3 box art is always there and complete. I have rebuilt the database a couple of times to no avail.
Do I have to manually place the box art in the relevant folders or am I missing something in the setup that is staring me in the face?

Any help would be appreciated...

GRID Autosport goes back to xmb when launching

USA version. I use sman but have tried multiman and it doesn't work there either. It has a file bigger than 4 gb so I tried making it an ISO with both makeps3iso and genps3iso, same thing just goes back to xmb upon boot. I also tried putting the entire game on the internal hdd using an NTFS hard drive which I assumed the game would then work, but nope same thing. Not sure what else to try.

I have cobra enabled I'm on 4.8.2 CFW. Hundreds of other games that work.

Started getting error 80028ED5 on DEX 4.82

So I have been staying on 4.82 DEX Rebug since 4.82 CEX was updated, allowing me to remain online since there was no official DEX update, so I didn't need to spoof my firmware version. That meant one fewer step to go online, but recently this stopped working. I lost access to some game servers a few days ago, and now I get error 80028ED5 when I go online. From what I have read online this has to do with my firmware version I think, so I can only assume there was a new DEX update released....

Ok, just wanted to drop by and let you guys know 1.82 EE is being worked on, I have 80-90% complete.

This release will be coupled with a tool release as well, so people can make there own packs with only a few clicks^_^ This does pc texture .zip, all the way to PS3 .pck. It does a enormous amount of prep work to make the process as easy as possible. Packs that use higher than 32x32 will be scaled down automatically.

1: Is it possible to backup official activation and restore it to the same console (using HEN) after a factory reset? (I tried copying act.dat from flash2 and my user's exdata folder, with no success)
