Hi all,
I have the latest ferrox and want to know what to do if i want to have youtube app or other apps installed. Do i need to do it through usb disk? Or can i go online? If yes then what do i need to not be banned?

Can I go from hybrid 4.85 straight to cfw 4.84?

Hi all,

After flashing the 4.85 hybrid firmware I would like to goto rebug cfw 4.84 or starbug 4.84 as they have not brought out a 4.85 firmware. {I'll make sure I can use cfw on my ps3 before trying to install any cfw by using min pup version checker. }

My question is that can I go to cfw 4.84 straight away from 4.85 hybrid or will I have to install spy cobra 4.85 and then downgrade from there?

I have read the sticky threads about HEN and 4.85 HFW and I have an idea on how to proceed thanks to the provided tutorials and links, but I want to clarify some tiny/insignificant details just to be sure I'm doing things correctly or in case I'm missing something.

I have a PS3 Super Slim with HFW 4.84 without HEN (HAN all the way, I never installed HEN) and I want to update to HFW 4.85 and install HEN. What I want to clarify is this:

I need to convert this image in png to GIM format ... however..I need a program for that..I have rcomage that has some GimConv applications, but the problem is that when I open the application and press some button it closes. I need to convert this image (in png )that has the resolution of 1920x1080:

Average temp of ps3 super slim

So what's the average temp of your ps3 super slim? Mine is getting around CELL: 68 and RSX: 72 on idle or when running a homebrew but gets below 68 when running games because the fan cranks up a bit when playing. Is the idle temp normal?

Help to repack homebrew to pkg

Hey :)

I am creating a few own XMB mods. They all work, so I wanted to create an installer app for them and decided to use the one of the PS3 Pro mod.
My problem is that the app does reboot to xmb instead of just launch itself. I've also tried to repack the original PS3 Pro mod, which leads into the same problem. That makes me thinking that I use the wrong way to create the pkg file.
Does anyone know how I can properly create a homebrew pkg file?

Hey,

I do remember back in the 2.xx Firmware days the nice an clean all black XMB wave, this color is gone. but is it possible to get it back? I already found a mod to get back the oldgameboot and coldboot, now only thing lkeft is the nice black xmb.

is there any way to get this back ?

greetings psx-place i dont know why i havent done this sooner and sign up i have been running a cechl01 on rebug 4.82 for 2 years now with option to swith CEX to DEX after succesful eid root key dump and i love it i have so many of the tools you devs have created and it makes my gaming experience amazing.I have learned so much from psxplace and psxploit i owe you all so much thank you.✌To all the devs i will try to donate more to your causes

Hen toolbox is not visible anymore

Hi all,
I just updated to HEN 2.4.0 and i patched flash memory to use Hen toolbox, as i do every HEN update.
This time, after install, Hen toolbox is gone.
I have only HAN toolbox, enabled previously.
I tried to reinstall hen toolbox few times, but nothing. What can i do?

This is a new collection of mods all combined into one "new" category on REBUG 4.81 CFW, with all xmls and icons in one place on HDD. It allows for the user to choose exactly which components to install, and they can choose where to install them, and it also allows easy updating / modifying of each component of the XMB individually. All mods are translated into Spanish, French, Italian and German in this release so far (based on system's XMB settings)

Mount the dev_blind using FTP or Multiman
1) Transfer the all the PS3 PRO files to its respective folders dev_blind for the Modded system files
and dev_hdd0 files (Theme,* Packages, *Custom RetroArch, PSP Launcher, PKG Launcher, Multiman Icons)
2) Only For PT-BR Users copy the content inside the Folder PT-BR for (XMBM+ 2K17 PT-BR + WebMan...

Is this normal temperature for a 45nm CPU and 40nm RSX

Fan Control: Syscon

CPU:66 RSX:67 idle XMB
CPU:74 RSX:79 30 min in game

Fan Control: Manual 40% Fan Speed

CPU:57 RSX:56 idle XMB
CPU:62 RSX:63 30 min in game

My Slim 2004B runs cooler with RSX 65nm

helllo,
i currently have a debug ps3, a DECHA00A, so far it is under firmware el pasta, retails and ps1/2 games play successfully but, i tested an official god of war 3 review disc, and, even if the disc is seen under the xmb, the only message i have is "game quit no further event" (or something similar.
Can i play review disc on a debug platform ? or do i need a dev/other platform ?
